Artist's Network

All of the projects are artist led, as is the company. There is a structure laid out for each project which has an educative foundation, but the courses will be unique in the way that they are delivered, depending on which combination of artists are leading the workshops and their individual creative interests. This is also shaped by the cultural and social concerns that are current in a group of participants. It is important that our artists feel as though they have a say in creating new work and ways of working with each other, rather than replicating the same project over and over again. The course structure helps shape the work; the quality of artists means that the standard of workshops remain consistently high.

Not all of our artists are UK based and CAST encourages local artist development in the communities in which we work. By inviting practitioners to be part of the teams that teach the youth projects we expand our own global network of people and add to the sustainability of our projects.
